Importance of training and development of employees

Employee training and development is all about to impart with the employee a specific knowledge, skills, techniques, and abilities with an aim of raising their performance level, in their present roles and does facilitate them new learning opportunities, for their further growth too.

The employee is the most important asset to an organization. It contributes to the growth of the organization. Training increases the knowledge base of the employee, familiarise him/her with new skills, new techniques. If an employee knows how to contribute towards the development of the organization it will make a huge difference in the companies production or goal achievement. That is possible through training and development program.

For instance, when an employee joins the organization, he/she is given job-related training to ensure satisfactory performance of the duties assigned to him/her. A trained employee can contribute more to the organization. 

Employee development is done with the determination for the long run as it is developed along with the concept of setting up an employee for the current as well as future jobs. Employee training and development facilitates them with new learning opportunities. These help to increase their competencies, work under pressure, to face more challenging and complex tasks.
